DOES THE KITCHEN COME WITH THE STUDIO RENTAL?

No. No. The Kitchen is a separate rental. For rates and availability, please email us.

HOW MUCH DOES THE STUDIO COST?

Brooklynphoto Studio offers full day, half day and testing rates in different professional categories. We like to work with people, so please email us to check out our prices.

HOW DO I PAY FOR IT?

Check, Credit Card or Cash, which can be paid, before or on the day of your shoot. We also take deposits.

Prices do not include NYS Sales Tax.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Brooklynphoto Studio is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, right off the BQE and a short drive from the Williamsburg Bridge. We're just one block from the Lorimer St. stop on the L-train or the Metropolitan Ave. stop of the G-train. Complete directions are available here.

DO YOU HAVE PRESSING EQUIPMENT, CLOTHING RACKS, ETC?

Yes. We have steamers, rolling racks, hangers, iron and ironing board.

DO YOU HAVE WIFI?

Yes. Ask us for the password.

WHAT CAN I SHOOT IN THE STUDIO?

The studio is ideal for any small to medium production. This includes tabletop, food, head-shots, and on-figure fashion. For specific information about the studio's possible uses, please email us or check out our blog.

CAN I MOVE THE FURNISHINGS IN THE STUDIO?

Yes. You can move everything but the cabinets.

CAN YOU BE MY PHOTOGRAPHER?

WHAT KIND OF EVENTS CAN YOU HOST?

We limit the studio to small art events, presentations and launch parties and have a capacity of up to 50.

We do not host live music, weddings, birthday parties or children’s events.

DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS OR SWEET 16s?

No. We do not shoot events. We are professional product & fashion photographers who do the occasional editorial portraits and other miscellaneous advertising projects.

WHAT IS GRIP EQUIPMENT?

‘Grip Equipment’ is the US film industries word for light stands, booms, tripods, sand bags, auto poles, clamps and other equipment used to set up lights and cameras.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR GRIP EQUIPMENT?

No. Light stands, booms, tripods, sand bags, auto poles, clamps and other equipment used to set up lights and cameras are provided free of charge with your rental.

IS THERE NATURAL LIGHT IN THE STUDIO?

There isn't much light in the studio, but the kitchen has a southwestern exposure with plenty of direct light.

IS THERE AN ELEVATOR?

No. There is one flight of stairs straight to the studio door.

IS THERE REFRIGERATION IN THE STUDIO?

Yes. There is a small unit in the studio.

CAN I BRING PETS?

Sorry. We cannot accommodate pets unless they are in the photo shoot.

CAN I SMOKE IN THE STUDIO?

No. But you can smoke in the front of the building, one flight down from the studio.

DO YOU HAVE A STEREO?

Yes. Bring your iPod; we have a dock.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE DARKROOM?

We accept cash only in the day of use.

HOW BIG IS THE DARKROOM?

6' x 10' ft or 60+ sq ft

CAN MORE THAN ONE PERSON PRINT IN THE DARKROOM?

No. The darkroom is a single person workstation.

CAN I PRINT COLOR IN THE DARKROOM?

No. The darkroom is black and white only.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST SIZE I CAN PRINT?

16" x 20" inch if you plan well, but 11" x 14" inch or smaller is perfect.
